During Enzo Amore vs Cedric Alexander, Nia Jax was seen backstage looking on while the match take place. After the match Nia is shown in the doctors room checking on Enzo. Nia asks if he is alright and Enzo says he fine before Nia walks off.

Second segment

Alexa Bliss is backstage with Nia Jax, asking how Enzo Amore is doing. Nia says he’s doing fine but it’s not like Bliss cares. Bliss talks about how she cares about Nia and says she’s worried Enzo is holding Nia back. Nia says if anything he motivates her and she wants to be a champion like him. She announces herself for the Royal Rumble match. Bliss tries to get Nia’s anger focused on Asuka. Bliss brings up a possible Nia vs. Bliss WrestleMania 34 dream match if Nia can take out Asuka first before the Rumble, then win the match. Bliss won’t tell Nia what Asuka said about her but she finally gives in and whispers it to her. Nia asks if Bliss speaks Japanese because Asuka doesn’t speak English. Jax walks off and we go back to commercial.

Third segment

Back from the break and out comes Asuka to the ring for a match. The Empress of Tomorrow is posing for her entrance when Nia Jax attacks from behind and lays her out, slamming her from the top to the mat. Nia keeps up the attack before standing tall as Asuka rolls around in pain. The referee checks on Asuka as Nia marches up the ramp. We go to replays. Nia stops and looks at Asuka before heading to the back.

Nia Jax appears less than thrilled when Raw’s General Manager introduces Titus Wordwide’s Apollo Crews as her partner in WWE Mixed Match Challenge, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 10 ET/7 PT. Follow WWE Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook for more updates.

In a surprise move, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Titus Worldwide’s Apollo Crews will join forces with the imposing Nia Jax to represent Team Red in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge tournament, airing exclusively on Facebook Watch beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Crews has found new life since aligning himself with Titus Worldwide, as the partnership has armed the grappler with a great deal of momentum. Crews replaces Enzo Amore in the revolutionary competition after the WWE Cruiserweight Champion took ill with the flu. Despite Crews’ enormous enthusiasm, however, Jax doesn’t appear over-excited at the prospect of their new union.

An intimidating tour-de-force inside the squared circle, Nia initially entertained the hope of forming a dominant tag team with the likes of Braun Strowman, who was instead paired up with her best friend Alexa Bliss. Considering their rocky start, can Jax and Crews can get on the same page and make an effective run to win the Mixed Match Challenge?

Together, the unlikely combination will do battle in the ground-breaking tournament on Facebook Watch, where male-female WWE Superstar pairings will attempt to win $100,000 for a charity of their choice. Each showdown in the competition will follow traditional Mixed Tag Team Match rules: When tagged, male Superstars face off with the opposing team’s male competitor and female Superstars battle fellow female competitors.

Despite the warnings of Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax remains devoted to The Certified G.

Back from the break and Enzo Amore is walking backstage when Nia Jax appears and asks him how he’s doing. Enzo asks how she’s doing and wishes her a Merry Christmas, saying it’s been a rough day. We see that they’re standing under mistletoe now. They smile as the crowd cheers. They go to kiss but Alexa Bliss gets in between them and stops it, saying she needs to talk to Nia about the women’s Royal Rumble match. Jax leaves with Bliss and Enzo isn’t happy.

Backstage Segment

Back from the break and Enzo Amore is walking backstage when he sees Nia Jax. He got her DM that she sent during the match. Nia just wanted to finish the conversation that they previously started, that is if Enzo can get the OK from his friend Gulak first. Enzo says Gulak just works for him in The Zo Train, they aren’t friends. Enzo says yes to the recent tweet from Nia but here comes Gulak, a mess from the loss to Alexander. Drew announces to Enzo that he lost the #1 contenders match. Nia ends up leaving and hoping to get the talk with Enzo later. Enzo isn’t happy with Gulak, yelling that he did a lot of things wrong. Enzo walks off.

In-ring Segment

After the bell, Rose and Deville continue pounding on Banks. Paige kicks Sasha in the face as they hold her up. Nia Jax’s music hits and out she comes to the ring to a pop. Absolution waits in the ring and stares at Nia as she enters the ring. Deville and Rose attack but Nia shoves them off. Nia with a kick to Deville and a headbutt to Rose. Nia tosses Deville into the corner and then tosses Rose into her. Nia scoops Deville and Rose and drops them with a double Samoan Drop in the middle of the ring. Paige watches from the corner and can’t believe it. Nia stands tall until Paige takes her knee out from behind. Paige unloads on Nia and orders Deville and Rose to get up and join her. Alicia Fox, Bayley, Dana Brooke, Mickie and RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss all hit the ring next as a big brawl breaks out. The music hits and here comes Stephanie McMahon. Everyone stops fighting and watches her.

Stephanie enters the ring. She talks about the women’s revolution, and how that turned into the women’s evolution. She talks about all the firsts for the women’s division over the past few years. Stephanie asks the women if they want to make history once again. Stephanie asks if the crowd wants to see history made once again and they do. She announces an all-women’s Royal Rumble match for the first time at the January 28th pay-per-view. Stephanie says if there ever was a time for a “Yes!” chant it’s now and the crowd gives her one. The red brand women’s division celebrates with Stephanie as RAW goes off the air.
