WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match: Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

We go back to the ring and out comes Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, getting their title shot for winning the first-ever Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are out next. We get formal ring introductions from Taylor.

Baszler starts off with Kai but Jax tags right in to start. Jax drops Kai first, then launches her across the ring with a throw. Jax with a running splash in the corner and some trash talking as fans boo. Baszler tags in and drops Kai to take over. Baszler takes Kai to the corner and taunts her. Kai charges but Baszler slams her on the mat, then goes to work on her arm and wrist. Baszler goes to stomp the elbow but Kai moves. Kai jumps up and slaps Baszler for a pop.

Kai fights out of the corner and rolls Baszler for a 2 count. Kai with an arm drag and another takedown. Baszler catches a kick and drops Kai on her face. Baszler tosses Kai out of the ring to the floor. Gonzalez checks on Kai as Jax and Baszler approach. The two teams face off at ringside as we go to a picture-in-picture commercial. Baszler returns to the ring and Kai tags in Gonzalez. They have words in the middle of the ring. Gonzalez shoves Baszler. Baszler rocks her. Gonzalez just takes it but now they go at it in the middle of the ring.

Back from the break and Kai has control of Baszler. Baszler goes to the floor to regroup, then sweeps Kai on the apron and drops her. Baszler brings it back into the ring and stomps away on Kai’s knee. Jax tags in and applies a Stretch Muffler on Kai, swinging her around and manhandling her. Kai slides down and tries to roll Jax up but Jax lifts her and nails a big headbutt.

Jax drops Kai and applies the Stretch Muffler again, swinging her into the turnbuckles as fans continue to boo. Jax covers with an arrogant pin for a 2 count. Kai leaps off the second rope but Jax catches her. Baszler tags in and knocks Gonzalez off the apron. Jax presses Kai and slams her, then Baszler follows up with a kick to the jaw for a 2 count. Kai fights the champs off but Baszler catches a kick. Kai kicks Baszler’s leg out then kicks her in the jaw to take her down.

Gonzalez tags in and dropkicks Baszler, then clotheslines her. Gonzalez blocks a shot and nails a big fall-away slam to Baszler, and another. Gonzalez keeps control with more offense but Baszler kicks out just in time. Baszler breaks free from a powerbomb attempt. Jax tags in and stares Gonzalez down. Jax shoves Gonzalez and they unload on each other in the middle of the ring. Jax misses a splash in the corner. Gonzalez with shoulder thrusts now. Jax runs over Gonzalez in the middle of the ring. Baszler tags in and drops Gonzalez with a knee to the jaw for a 2 count.

Baszler gets on Gonzalez with a Sleeper but she tosses Baszler to the mat. Baszler eats a big boot. Kai tags in as Gonzalez puts Baszler on her shoulders. Kai with a double team kick for the pin but Jax runs in and breaks it up. Gonzalez runs in and decks Jax but Jax clotheslines her over the top rope to the floor. The referee checks on Baszler. Kai scoops Baszler but her knee goes out. Kai ducks a clothesline and goes for the move again. Her leg apparently goes out again. Kai rolls through the Kirifuda Clutch but Baszler brings her right back into the Clutch. Kai starts fading in the submission.

Kai tries to kick free as Gonzalez returns to the apron. Gonzalez tags in but Baszler doesn’t see it. Gonzalez runs over and decks Jax off the apron. Jax pulls her out and rams her back into the apron. Gonzalez charges and tumbles over the announce table with Jax for a pop. Baszler and Kai are both down next to each other in the ring as fans chant “NXT!” now. Baszler snaps to it and applies the Kirifuda Clutch again but Baszler still doesn’t realize Kai isn’t legal.

Adam Pearce and RAW referee Shawn Bennett come out. Bennett hits the ring and calls the match as Kai passes out in the hold, also not realizing that Kai was no longer legal.

After the bell, officials check on Jax and Gonzalez as the boos get louder. Baszler takes the titles at ringside as we go to replays with the boos continuing. The champs stand tall with the titles on the stage as Kai and Gonzalez look on from the ring.

Kai and Gonzalez hit the ring and MSK opens the ropes for them to enter. Fans chant “you deserve it!” now. Beth asks how they’re feeling. Kai says they feel awesome, crushing the competition will always take their breath away but moments like these are why they do it. Kai says they were by far the best tag team in the tournament. The music interrupts and out come the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Baszler starts in on the mic. MSK also opens the ropes for Jax and Baszler. Baszler says Kai and Gonzalez were on the right side of history at Takeover, but when they face off, they will be on the wrong side of history. Kai introduces Gonzalez to Jax and Baszler since she wasn’t here when they were in NXT. Kai says Jax is big, and Baszler ran away when Rhea Ripley beat her ass. Gonzalez asks if that’s the same Ripley she beat in a Last Woman Standing match. Baszler says this is the same ‘ol Dakota Kai, who’s scared like when Baszler broke her arm. Kai says she’s not the same person but if Baszler wants to find out, she will happily kick her head off. Fans cheer them on as MSK and Beth watch from the corner, eating popcorn. Gonzalez says a lot has changed since Baszler left as she doesn’t run the place, they do. Gonzalez mentions the title match will happen in two weeks and says they will make sure Baszler realizes who runs NXT at that time.

Jax calms everyone down and says she came here to honor Dusty as she had the privilege of working with him. She recalls Dusty saying, “Baby you are one big beautiful badass b—h!” She says Dusty was right, and “I am the the biggest baddest b*tch” and she and Shayna are the most dominant force in WWE. Gonzalez says Dusty, God rest his soul, never met her. Shayna says either way, two weeks on March 3, they’re coming back to Dakota and Raquel’s home turf to humiliate them. The champs exit the ramp as their music hits. Gonzalez interrupts and says she’s going to shove her boot so far up “Nia’s hole” that she will never get it out. Fans pop as Jax and Baszler look back from the stage.

Nia Jax vs Asuka (C) (NXT Women’s Championship Match)

Nia Jax is out to the ring first followed by the Women’s Champion Asuka. Asuka starts off with a quick attempt to use her speed to land a few kicks to Nia before getting tossed to the mat hard. Asuka goes for a submission hold and able to lock in the octopus. Jax breaks free, Asuka goes for a guillotine, and Nia powers out. Nia with a side slam. Nia uses the ropes to stretch Asuka before choking her by with her foot. We go to break.

Back from break and Nia is still in control. Officials checking on Asuka. Nia with a series of pin attempts. Nia with a submission hold and Asuka bridges out, but takes a scope slam from Nia. Nia with forearms to Asuka and covers for a 2. Sidewalk slam from Nia, followed by another pin attempt. Back fists and shots from Asuka, but takes a big forearm from Nia. Elbow drop from Nia and a two count. Nia with a modified clutch submission but is reversed by Asuka. Nia reapply the same hold and Asuka with another reversal. Knee bar from Asuka, followed by kicks and chops as Nia fights out. Nia with a shoulder to the gut and slings Asuka off the ropes. Asuka able to drape Nia over the ropes and deliver a big knee. Hip attack from Asuka sends the draped Nia to the outside. Nia catches Asuka on the outside and slams her back onto the apron. Nia takes her time in the ring waiting on Asuka. Asuka attempts to roll back in the ring but takes a leg drop from Nia. She heads out, slams Asuka into the apron, and rolls back in the ring. Asuka with stiff strikes once she get back in the ring. Another hip attack from Asuka. She aapply a triangle submission hold, Nia goes for a power bomb, misses, Asuka looking for her trademark lock, but can’t connect. Nia manages to get Asuka up for a powerbomb and Asuka kicks out at two. Spinning back fist again from Asuka and hits a German suplex to Nia. Nia screams, and Asuka with a final kick to the head for the win.

Nia Jax vs. Bayley

Early on Nia Jax charges in on Bayley but Bayley manages to dodge her. Jax sends Bayley into the top turnbuckle with Snake Eyes and throws Bayley out of the ring for a count out. Bayley comes back in but is taken down with a series of power moves from Nia. Multiple whips to the corner from Jax to Bayley with shots to the midsection. Bayley moves out of the way from an attack and takes it to Jax with a series of strikes. Jax sends Bayley out of the ring.

Back from the break with Nia Jax still in firm control. Nia chokes Bayley between the ropes. Multiple tosses and slams to Bayley from Jax. After another failed comeback, Bayley sent right back out to the ring. Bayley returns to the ring at a nine count. Bayley gets thrown around the ring by her hair and Nia Jax attempts to throw Bayley out for a fourth time. Bayley reverses and sends Jax out. Bayley hits a big flying clotheline from the apron but can’t maintain control. Nia slams Bayley into the ring apron. Jax goes for an attack into the stairs but Bayley escapes. Jax stays out for a 9 count. Bayley hits a neck breaker with Jax in between the ropes and follows it up with a drop kick. Jax still won’t go down. Bayley hits a cross body from the top rope and takes Jax down for a two count. Jax goes for a powerbomb but Bayley reverses into a roll-up cover for a two. Nia Jax lifts up Bayley and hits a Jack Hammer for a two and a half. Jax goes to the second rope to attempt a splash but Bayley follows to lock Jax up for Bayley-To-Belly from the second rope for the win.

Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss via pinfall following a Bayley-to-Belly

After the match Bayley grabs a mic, and starts to talk about her long road back after being “injured” by Nia Jax. Nia interrupts, and they argue back and forth. Bayley challenges Nia to another match and Nia accepts before leaving.

Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan

Nia Jax is out first followed by Liv Morgan. Nia tries to attack before Morgan could take her jacket off. Morgan ducked and went for an armbar. Nia picked her up and slammed her down to the mat. Nia locks in a cobra clutch but Morgan fights out of it. Morgan manages to toss Nia over with a head scissors hitting the turnbuckle. Morgan runs to the ropes, but Nia is right behind her with a running splash. Nia slams Morgan with a devastating powerbomb for the win.

We come back to the panel for discussion on Nia Jax vs. Asuka. Graves picks Nia Jax and Lita goes with Asuka. 

Main Show

We see Nia Jax backstage warming up.

We get a video package for tonight’s Women’s Title match.

NXT Women’s Title Match: Nia Jax vs. Asuka

We go to the ring and out first comes Nia Jax. NXT Women’s Champion Asuka is out next.

Match starts and Asuka immediately attempts to take Nia down. Nia will helicopter sling to Asuka. Asuka ends up getting the guillotine locked in out of nowhere but Jax breaks it with a big suplex and another 2 count. Jax ends up putting Asuka in a bearhug. Asuka gets out and tries to get Nia down but she can’t. Asuka goes with a knee bar instead. Jax makes it to the bottom rope and breaks the hold. They go on and Jax slams Asuka in the mat but then misses a leg drop. Asuka rallies with a sliding knee. Jax talks some trash but gets kicked. Asuka comes off the second rope with a missile dropkick.

Asuka with strikes and the hip attack for a 2 count. Jax ends up powerbombing Asuka to the mat for a close 2 count. Asuka with an armbar out of nowhere. Jax fights off the Asuka Lock and keeps up on her feet. Asuka with a big kick to the head. And another to bring Jax to one knee. A third kick and a running shot brings Jax down and Asuka covers for the pin.

 After the match, Jax recovers and Asuka gets her gold as we go to replays. We see a trainer checking on Jax in the corner as Asuka makes her exit.
