Savelina Fanene

Birth name: Savelina Fanene fka Nia Jax
Born: May 29th, 1984
From: Sydney, Australia

Savelina Fanene is a former WWE Superstar and E! Total Divas Star. She was a force to be reckoned with in the women's division. Savelina aimed to prove to be the most dominant and fierce competitor that stepped in the ring, and she did just that during her 7-year stint in WWE, where she became RAW Women's Champion and two-time Women's Tag Team Champion etching her name in history for years to come.

There was one thing that was painfully clear when someone stepped in the ring with Savelina: "She was not like most women".

Preview: RAW Women’s Championship Fatal Four Way Match
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Show Previews

Alexa Bliss will look to retain her Raw Women’s Championship against incredible odds when “The Goddess” battles Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Emma in a Fatal 4-Way Match at No Mercy.

A four-time Women’s Champion, Sasha is poised to reclaim her title after losing it to Alexa on the Aug. 28 edition of Monday Night Raw. The Boss has proven herself a ground-breaking Superstar time and time again, going to battle in everything from WWE Iron Man Matches to the first-ever Women’s Hell in a Cell Match. She is an extremely dangerous competitor with no love lost for the current titleholder, and it’s safe to say she will be out to prove ignorance is Bliss at WWE No Mercy.

While the dominant Nia Jax has been a consistent threat to the Raw Women’s Title, her friendship with Alexa has often clouded the issue. That all changed just moments after Little Miss Bliss regained the gold from Sasha. Though Nia appeared to be coming to the ring to congratulate the new champ, the celebration quickly took a destructive turn when the Samoan Superstar suddenly dropped her best friend to the canvas without warning. The message was loud and clear: Nia Jax is coming for the Raw Women’s Championship at all costs.

Then, there’s the X-Factor. While the WWE No Mercy showdown was originally intended to be a one-one-one clash between Alexa and Sasha, Emma and Nia overcame The Boss and the titleholder in a tag team bout to make it a Fatal 4-Way Match. Emma claims to be instrumental in bringing about the Women’s Revolution, and she will surely be hungry to solidify her place at the top of the mountain on Sunday, Sept. 24.

While a Fatal-4-Way certainly stacks the odds against the reigning titleholder, as she doesn’t have to be pinned or submit to lose her championship, don’t count out Alexa just yet. “The Goddess” stands as a two-time Raw Women’s Champion, a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and the first (and still only) Superstar to ever hold both of those titles. Whether you like her or hate here, the ruthless competitor has accumulated so much success in such a brief time because she is just that good.

Who will walk out of WWE No Mercy with the Raw Woman’s Title? Find out Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on award-winning WWE Network.

RAW Women’s Title Fight At Wrestlemania Has A New Challeng...

Bayley’s run as Raw Women’s Champion has been a dream come true, but she’ll have to deny her best friend, her most ardent foe and an unstoppable force at WrestleMania to prevent a rude awakening.

The beloved Raw Women’s Champion will defend her title against Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Nia Jax in a Fatal 4-Way Match at WrestleMania 33 that began to take shape as far back as December. That’s when Charlotte wrestled the title from Banks in a grueling WWE Iron Man Match, sending The Boss into a minor tailspin while Bayley rose up as The Queen’s most prominent foe in the process.

Even though Charlotte fended Bayley off at the Royal Rumble, a recovered Banks provided her friend with a decisive assist on Raw to dethrone The Queen — and then another at WWE Fastlane, snapping Charlotte’s pay-per-view streak and all but assuring Bayley will walk into her first Showcase of the Immortals as Raw Women’s Champion.

Thanks to Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon coming down on Charlotte’s side that Sasha’s interference cost Flair the Fastlane match, The Queen was able to wheel and deal her way to the big dance. Banks joined the field at the end of an impromptu friendly against Bayley that booked her passage to Orlando, and Jax followed suit two weeks later by defeating Bayley in a non-title contest to earn her place in the match.

In a sense, perhaps it was always fated to be this way: The four most dominant figures of Raw’s Women’s division — the beloved champion, the dominant Queen, the rebounding Boss and the near-unstoppable Jax — finally clashing in an every-woman-for-herself battle. At the center of it all is Bayley, the dreamer who finally reached the mountaintop. But on April 2, live at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network, we will see what happens when dreams and ambition collide.

WWE Fastlane Match Preview: Nia Jax vs Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks may have become entangled in the drama surrounding the Raw Women’s Championship in recent weeks, but now she must shift her focus to an entirely different problem — one named Nia Jax.

The Boss goes one-on-one with Nia in a Royal Rumble rematch this Sunday at WWE Fastlane 2017, live on WWE Network, in a match made by Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Sasha told Bayley that she wants to be in the corner of Raw Women’s Champion at Fastlane, but she now needs to change her focus to getting past the woman who claims she “broke The Boss.”

Arguably the biggest threat in Raw’s highly competition Women’s division, Jax gave Sasha a drubbing at WWE Royal Rumble, decimating The Boss in less than six minutes. The 6-foot powerhouse followed up with a repeat performance the very next night on Raw, turning Banks into origami and reinjuring Sasha’s left leg in the process.

After weeks of rehab, Sasha says she is back at full health, which wasn’t the case for either of her outings against Jax in January. Yet, with so much of The Boss’ attention being paid to the ongoing rivalry between Raw Women’s Champion Bayley and Charlotte Flair, it is fair to wonder if she is mentally prepared for another slugfest with the rough-and-tumble Jax.

Has Banks become too consumed with the struggles of her best friend, Bayley, to adequately focus on her own battle line? Or can the dynamic and ever-adaptable three-time Raw Women’s Champion prove she’s able to step toe-to-toe with Jax’s freight-train force?

Watch Sasha Banks and Nia Jax throw down this Sunday when WWE Fastlane airs at 8 ET/5 PT, live on WWE Network

Royal Rumble Kickoff Preview: Nia Jax And Sasha Banks Collide
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Show Previews

Nia Jax may have “broken The Boss,” but Sasha Banks won’t stay shattered for long as the two are set to clash on the special two-hour Royal Rumble Kickoff, this Sunday on WWE Network.

Looking to assert her supremacy in the teeming Women’s division of the New Era, Nia singled Sasha out as easy pickings following The Boss’ brutal defeat at the hands of Charlotte Flair in a WWE Iron Man Match in December. Ever since then it’s been relentless punishment at the hands of the mighty Superstar, with Sasha unable to keep her legs under her long enough (literally) to mount a challenge.

However, everyone knows that Sasha refuses to stay down for very long, even with seemingly insurmountable odds against her. And now that Banks has a date with her tormentor, perhaps The Boss will find her footing and leave Jax in the dust. Tune into this long-brewing women’s showdown on the Royal Rumble Kickoff, live this Sunday, Jan. 29, at 5 ET/2 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Nia Jax are among the Superstars who will represent Raw against the Nikki Bella-captained Team SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series on Nov. 20.

Though the team lineups have not yet been finalized, both brands have agreed to pit their top five female Superstars against each other in a hallmark of WWE’s fall classic, the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. The bout is one of three Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches to be contested between the competing brands.

Nikki earned the designation of Team Blue captain after defeating Natalya on Oct. 25. Who else will join the fearless Superstar, who was also the longest-reigning Divas Champion in WWE history, in representing SmackDown LIVE?

Meanwhile, Charlotte, one night after capturing the Raw Women’s Title for a third time at WWE Hell in a Cell, declared she would continue her pay-per-view dominance at Survivor Series as the leader of Raw’s Women’s faction. Her partners so far include one known rival, Bayley, and an unpredictable but absolutely dangerous X-factor in Nia Jax.

With several spots still open, how will both sides round out their armies of Superstars? And once the teams are finally set, will the Raw or SmackDown LIVE roster be revealed the frontrunners of the Women’s Revolution?

Watch Survivor Series 2016 live on Sunday, Nov. 20, live on the award-winning WWE Network.

NXT Women’s Championship Match Announced For Takeover

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Nia Jax

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka has decimated every Superstar who has stepped her way. However, at NXT TakeOver on Wednesday, June 8, The Empress of Tomorrow will face a threat of a whole new variety in the powerfulNia Jax.

The towering challenger is perhaps the lone woman to rival Asuka in terms of intimidation and sheer dominance. Case in point? Her May 18 dismantling of Bayley. Though the beloved former champion was in line for a rematch against Asuka, Bayley had the displeasure of running into the human Humvee named Nia Jax first. Jax thrashed the all-heart Bayley in their one-on-one encounter, rendering NXT’s most huggable competitor unable to compete on June 8.

With Asuka’s presumptive challenger out of action, General Manager William Regal scheduled a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match between Jax, Carmella and Alexa Bliss on May 25, which Jax won decisively. The fireworks didn’t end there, as Asuka entered the ring to confront her TakeOver opponent, and neither Superstar showed as much as a glimmer of trepidation. Jax did, however, issue a warning, telling Asuka that she would drop her next time the champion gets in her face.

The Empress of Tomorrow boasts a world-class array of vicious strikes and seemingly inescapable submission holds, but will her tried-and-true arsenal make a dent against Nia Jax? With big strength and bad will to spare, Jax will no doubt look to seize her all-important opportunity on June 8, especially in light of the fact she fell just short of winning the Women’s Title last time she challenged for it, against Bayley in London last December.

Who will stand tall when the destroyer Asuka defends her championship against the monstrous Nia Jax? See the hotly anticipated title bout live on NXT TakeOver Wednesday, June 8, exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.
