WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will both work Handicap Matches against The Riott Squad tonight. We see them backstage with Adam Pearce tonight, arguing about the matches.

2-on-1 Handicap Match: The Riott Squad vs. Shayna Baszler w/ Nia Jax

We go to the ring for the first of two 2-on-1 Handicap Matches. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler is out first with her partner, Nia Jax. The current #1 contenders are out next – Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan.

Riott starts off with Baszler. Baszler takes the leg down early on. They tangle some more as Jax watches from ringside. Riott blocks off a hold but Baszler takes her down, with her arm tied up. Liv ends up coming in and unloading on Baszler with kicks. Baszler blocks a takedown and slams Liv on her face.

Liv ends up knocking Baszler off the apron. Liv with a dropkick to the leg. More back and forth now. Liv kicks Baszler in the leg again but Baszler fights Liv off. Baszler with a big gutwrench Facebuster and a big kick to Liv. Jax apparently distracts Baszler with the taunting from ringside, and Liv takes advantage with a sunset flip for the pin.

2-on-1 Handicap Match: The Riott Squad vs. Nia Jax

We go back to the ring and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax is starting off with Ruby Riott now while her partner Shayna Baszler is still having words from ringside. Riott turns it around on Jax. Liv Morgan tags in and nails a big dropkick to Jax’s knees.

Baszler taunts her partner as she gets double teamed in the corner. Liv and Riott with frequent tags to keep Jax in their corner. Riott with a big crossbody in the corner for a close 2 count. Jax gets up and levels Riott with a huge clothesline for a 2 count. Jax grounded Riott with an arm submission now. Riott gets an opening with a jawbreaker, then a shoulder sends her down. Jax taunts Baszler some and goes to stomp on Riott like Baszler would, but this backfires on her and Riott goes for a tag. The lights start flickering in the arena. Could this be RETRIBUTION? The virtual fans are no longer visible.

Liv comes in off the lights flickering and she ends up taking down Jax. The Riott Squad looks to put Jax away for the win but the lights go out again. We see a RETRIBUTION graphic that appears to be in white spray paint.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks and Bayley

We go back to the ring for this WWE Payback rematch as The Golden Role Models are out first – Sasha Banks with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. They pose on the ramp as the pyro goes off above them. Out next are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. We get a sidebar backstage video of SmackDown Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura in their Champions Lounge. We get formal ring introductions from Hamilton in the middle of the ring.

Baszler stares Bayley down before the bell. The bell rings but the champs are talking, deciding on who will start. Bayley and Banks attack while Jax and Baszler aren’t looking, clearing the ring of the champions. Baszler and Jax end up coming back and taking the challengers off the apron, and rag-dolling them into the barrier a few times, then dropping them on the floor. We go back to a commercial break.

Back from the break and Baszler is working on Bayley’s arm. Jax tags in with a splash in the corner. Baszler with a running knee in the corner. Jax covers Bayley for 2. Jax with a shoulder breaker to Bayley for another 2 count. Jax tosses Bayley across the ring and hits a back splash while she’s down, and again. Jax grounds Bayley again as Banks looks on.

Bayley looks to turn it around but Jax continues to dominate for another 2 count. Baszler tags back in and works Bayley over on the mat. Banks finally tags in and goes at it with Jax. Jax sends her to the apron but Banks rocks her with a pair of knees, and another. Banks with double knees in from the apron and then a running knee from across the ring. Banks goes to the top and hits a Meteora for a close 2 count. Jax lifts Banks on her shoulders but Banks slides off to the apron. Baszler tags in but Banks rocks them both, sending Baszler to the floor. Jax gets sent to the apron now. Banks goes to powerbomb Jax from the apron to the floor but she hangs on. Bayley, off a tag, runs in and assists, allowing Banks to powerbomb Jax to the floor from the apron. Bayley blocks a Kirifuda Clutch from Baszler and levels her with a belly-to-back suplex. Banks tags back in and hits a running knee for another close 2 count on Baszler.

Banks talks trash to Bayley, taking her to the corner and stomping away. Banks and Bayley with quick tags now, keeping Baszler down in their corner. Baszler avoids a double team and goes for a Kirifuda Clutch on Bayley again but Banks breaks it with a Backstabber. They tangle and Banks covers for a 2 count. Bayley ends up going to the top rope and hitting the flying elbow drop to Baszler for another close 2 count in a row. The challengers can’t believe it as they show some frustration. Banks with a big sliding dropkick to Baszler’s shoulder on the apron. Banks goes for running double knees on the apron against the ring post but Baszler moves and Banks crashes hard into the post with her knees. She falls to the floor and Bayley checks on her as she screams out.

Bayley goes back to the apron as Banks slowly pulls herself into the ring. Baszler meets her at the ropes but Banks drops her neck over the top rope. Jax tries to launch herself in but Baszler sends her bad knees into the turnbuckles, then takes them out with a chop block. Banks goes back down hard. Baszler with another big attack from behind. Banks rolls Baszler for a 2 count as she works on the leg. Baszler knocks Bayley off the apron and then stomps away on Banks’ hurt leg, forcing her to scream out. Bayley runs in but Baszler grabs her for another potential double submission like Payback.

Bayley counters and hits a Bayley-to-Belly suplex to get Banks free. Banks ends up getting a 2 count on Baszler but she goes right into the Banks Statement. Jax comes over and rips Bayley off the apron, then runs in and breaks Baszler free from the Banks Statement. Baszler crawls to Jax and tags her in. Jax scoops Banks into a Stretch Muffler in the middle of the ring. Banks counters with a roll-up for 2. Jax grabs Banks and puts her on her shoulders.

Jax climbs to the second rope but Bayley comes from behind and pulls Banks down from the hold. Baszler charges but the challengers go to double team slam her. She goes down to the mat but Banks’ knee is giving her trouble. The challengers turn around to Jax flying off the top with a double crossbody, pinning Banks and Bayley at the same time to retain.

After the match, the champs stand tall as Jax’s music hits. We go to replays. Medics enter the ring to check on Banks’ leg. Cole says she suffered a very serious leg injury tonight. Bayley looks on as we go back to commercial.

We get a look at how Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles from The Golden Role Models at last night. Sarah Schreiber is backstage with the champs now. She asks how they were able to put their differences aside. Jax says she told Baszler to follow her lead. Baszler disagrees and says she told Jax to stay out of her way, and she did, allowing her to connect the double submission. They continue arguing over who made the win happen. Jax says she sees it like she’s the tag team champion and Baszler is just holding the other belt. RAW Women’s Champion Asuka walks up and Schreiber asks her if she got an answer on her next challenger. She didn’t. Jax and Baszler say this is their interview, just because Asuka is champion doesn’t mean she can interrupt. Asuka puts hands on Baszler and knocks her away. Jax steps to Asuka and stares her down. Asuka yells at Jax in Japanese, and then walks off. Baszler and Jax stare Asuka down as she leaves.

Backstage segment

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are backstage warming up. There’s some tension between them as they briefly put hands on each other. They stop and agree to focus on tonight’s title shot.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley

Back to the ring and out first are the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. Nia Jax is out next and Shayna Baszler joins her. They head to the ring together.

Jax tells Baszler to follow her lead but Baszler tags herself in at the bell. Baszler starts with Banks. Banks strikes first but Baszler beats her down. Banks comes back and dropkicks her. Banks misses a charge in the corner and lands on the second rope. Baszler unloads with kicks. Banks ends up with a modified abdominal stretch applied but Baszler slams her. Baszler keeps control as Banks tags in Bayley. Banks charges but Baszler tosses her to the floor. Baszler quickly takes Bayley down and focuses on the arm.

Bayley ends up sending Baszler into Jax, knocking her off the apron to the floor. Jax sells a hurt knee. Baszler gets beat down in the corner. Banks comes back in and covers for a pin attempt on Baszler. Banks with a seated abdominal stretch to Baszler now. Banks goes for the Three Amigos on Baszler but hits two, then tags in Banks. They go for a double team slam but end up botching it a bit, dropping Baszler to the mat. Bayley keeps control but goes to the floor as Jax recovers. Bayley gets sent into the barrier. Banks leaps at Jax but Jax catches her and rag-dolls her into the barrier a few times.

Baszler tags Jax in as she returns to the apron. Jax enters and levels Bayley. Jax sends Bayley into the corner again and hits a big splash next. Jax drops an elbow on Bayley for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Jax talks some trash but Bayley blocks a slam. Bayley drops Baszler on the apron. Baszler comes in but this allows Banks to run in and hit a cheap shot on Jax, taking her knee out while the referee is distracted. Bayley with a knee to Jax. The champs double team Jax in their corner now. Banks comes in with a 2 count on Jax.

Banks with more strikes and a dropkick to Jax. Bayley tags back in as they work on keeping Jax near their corner. Bayley focuses on the hurt knee, slamming the leg over the edge of the apron. Bayley with another 2 count. Jax ends up catching a crossbody, then slamming Bayley to the mat. Jax scoops Bayley on her shoulder but Banks comes in and pulls her off. Jax uses Banks to drop Bayley, then slams her on top of Bayley with a Samoan Drop. Jax drops a leg on Bayley but Bayley grabs the leg for a knee bar. Jax gets to her feet, dragging Bayley while she keeps the leg clutched. Baszler tags in and levels Bayley with several strikes to keep knocking her down. Baszler with a running knee to Bayley and a sliding knee to Banks, then a sliding knee to Bayley. Baszler with a gutwrench slam to Bayley, and another big knee for a close 2 count.

Banks tags back in but Baszler nails a big gutwrench Facebuster in the middle of the ring. Jax tags back in as the champs get double teamed. Jax splashes them both in the corner with an assist from Baszler. Banks counters Jax and plants her face-first in the mat. Jax clutches her nose and Cole says it may be busted. More back and forth between the two teams. Banks hits a Frogsplash on Jax but Baszler helps her kick out. Banks with a sliding knee to Jax for another close 2 count. Jax gets back up but Banks keeps the offense coming. Bayley tags in for the double team but they can’t get Jax up. Baszler tags in as the champs hit a double back drop on Jax.

Baszler with a Kirifuda Clutch to Bayley from behind. Banks comes over but gets dropped face-first. Baszler with a leg submission to Banks. Bayley kicks but Baszler grabs it. Baszler has the Muta Lock on Banks and the Kirifuda Clutch on Bayley at the same time. Banks and Baszler tangle and they go to the mat but Bayley ends up tapping out.

Winners and New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax

After the match, the music hits as Baszler recovers and takes the titles. Jax joins her. Banks and Bayley are stunned as they roll to the floor. Caruso enters the ring and asks the new champs how it feels. Jax is hyped up. Baszler says they’re definitely not best friends. Jax keeps jumping around and yelling. Baszler tells her let’s go celebrate. Baszler’s music starts back up and they raise the titles in the air as Banks and Bayley look bummed on the ramp.

In Ring Segment (Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Sasha Banks, Bayley)

The tag titles represent their friendship, and on Sunday they cannot lose. Banks agrees, and says she might not be Two Belts Banks anymore, but she knows exactly who she is and what she stands for, and lucky for Bayley, she’s still her best friend, and she’s going to do everything in her power to keep the titles.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler appear on the tron and talk about how they hate each other but any chance to beat Banks and Bayley up and get the women’s tag titles is worth taking. They talk about how the champs are talking a lot about feelings but not about winning, and Sasha says one bad week isn’t going to hold her back and there’s not a damn thing they can do about how they’re going to defend the titles.

Backstage segment

Sarah Schreiber stops Nia Jax backstage for comments, asking why she’s here. Jax asks where her manners are. Schreiber reminds Jax she was suspended for putting her hands on a WWE official. Jax says all she had to do was go to that WWE official, Pat Buck, and… apologize! Jax yells at Schreiber and turns around to Shayna Baszler approaching her. Baszler says we’re all counting down until when Jax gets herself suspended again. Jax offers to help Baszler with her match against Bayley tonight. They take a few more shots at each other and trade insults. Baszler welcomes Jax back and then walks off.

Shayna Baszler vs Bayley

Baszler hits the ring and we get ready to go but the music interrupts. Out comes Nia Jax to the stage. Jax stares Baszler down from the stage as we go back to commercial. Back from the break and they lock up. Jax is still watching from the ramp. Baszler strikes first and sends Bayley into the corner to regroup. They lock up again and Baszler works on the arm, taking Bayley to the mat. Baszler keeps control and sends Bayley to the floor. She joins Banks to regroup as the referee counts. Banks yells at Baszler. Bayley returns to the ring and decks Baszler in the gut, then beats her down. Bayley keeps control and grounds Baszler with a headlock. They run the ropes and Baszler drops her. More back and forth. Banks ends up proving a distraction, allowing Bayley to drop Baszler from behind. Bayley takes Baszler to the corner and works her over. Bayley with a suplex for a 2 count. Bayley drops Baszler again and nails an elbow to the back of the head, then covers for a 2 count. Baszler gets up and unloads with big body shots. Baszler gets sent to the floor by Bayley. The referee counts now.

Baszler goes to get back in the ring but Jax runs down and stops her, pulling her back down by her leg. The referee calls for the bell. The bell rings and Jax decks Baszler again. Baszler tries to fight back but Jax works her over. Banks and Bayley are all smiles as Jax brings Baszler in the ring. They try to talk Jax into attacking Baszler again. Jax and Baszler end up staring the champs down as they back up the ramp. Jax and Baszler exit the ring and stare down the champs as they continue backing up the ramp. Jax and Baszler look at each other and then back at the champs.

Backstage segment

Backstage, Nia Jax says she doesn’t like it but they could beat Bayley and Banks for the tag titles. Jax agree to end her hunt for Baszler, if they can win the gold. Jax pokes Baszler in the chest and tells her to follow her lead. Baszler slaps Jax in the face before walking off.

Asuka and Shayna Baszler defeated The Golden Role Models

During the match, Asuka comes back in the ring and levels Banks. Baszler gets up on the outside but Nia Jax drops her through the Plexiglas barrier, busting through the Plexiglas. Baszler goes down. Jax climbs over the barrier as WWE Producer Pat Buck, who suspended Jax without pay two weeks ago, comes out with officials. Baszler gets up and starts brawling with Jax into the crowd.

RAW Underground

Marina Shafir defeats Brandy

Shafir pounces on Brandy. Shafir tosses Brandy around the ring. Shafir submits Brandy.

Nia Jax attacks Shafir from behind. Duke tries to get on the platform but Jax kicks her in the chest. Baszler gets on the platform and squares up. Jax acts like she is going to fight but rolls out the ring, kicking Duke before fleeing.
