Exciting news! It was announced earlier today that Nia Jax will be one of the seven total nominations representing WWE at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards.

Nia, who made body positivity the cornerstone of her Raw Women’s Title reign, will contend for Game Changer of 2018 in a category that pits her against trailblazers such as LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, Aly Raisman and Adam Rippon.

To cast your ballots, head to pca.eonline.com or social media, where Facebook users can post publicly or privately with one category hashtag, one corresponding nominee hashtag and #PCAs. Twitter users can send a public tweet or retweet with a category hashtag, corresponding nominee hashtag and #PCAs. Head to the People’s Choice Twitter account as they roll out the nominees for the specific hashtags to use.

The window for the preliminary round closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 14, at which point the top five nominees will advance to the final round. That voting window runs through Monday, Sept. 24, through Friday, Oct. 19. The People’s Choice Awards will air for the first time on E! Sunday, Nov. 11, at 9 ET/6 PT with a live red-carpet special airing at 7 ET/4 PT

WWE Superstar Nia Jax has been noticeably absent from television the last couple of weeks, but the “Irresistible Force” is in New York City for SummerSlam. Despite not having a match at the “largest party of the summer,” Jax is enjoying all of the festivities and community events happening throughout the city.

“It’s my family. We have combined pay-per-views and SummerSlam is one of the biggest of the year,” Jax told Newsweek. “It’s like being on a camp vacation with family so I love it regardless if I’m on the card or not. I just love being a part of what happens during SummerSlam week.”

Jax along with Titus O’Neal and Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler were present at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club to talk about bullying on Friday when the former RAW Women’s Champion clarified her injury status to the media.

She clarified that she was not injured, but was undergoing physical therapy. Reports state that Jax has been dealing with back issues, the same reason why she took time off in October 2017. However, being off of television has given the superstar time to refocus.

“It’s always good to step back and reflect, but you always want to be a part of the show, and don’t worry I’ll get on it,” Jax said. “I sit back and watch, and it makes me hungrier to get back on the show.”

Although she won’t be on the card, Jax will be watching SummerSlam and is interested to see how many of matches will play out, especially the fight for the Universal Championship.

“I’m looking forward to the SmackDown Women’s Triple Threat, that’s going to be a great one,” Jax said. “Obviously Ronda Rousey and Alexa Bliss, I want to see how that one goes. I’m curious to see how Alexa is going to get out of that one. And Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, I think everybody is excited and scared to see that one so that’s probably my number one.”

However, no matter who walks out of SummerSlam with the RAW Women’s Championship, Jax told us that she wants to go right after the title to win it back, and there will be opportunities in the coming months.

After SummerSlam, there is Hell in a Cell in September and then the all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution in October, a show that Jax is looking forward to being a part of.

“It’s incredible, right? It’s a history-making, all-women’s pay-per-view,” Jax said. “I’m getting goosebumps talking about it and I can’t wait to see who is going to be on the card, who’s coming back, who I’ll be able to face, what I’m going to be a part of. We’re going to blow everyone’s minds away.”

Extreme Rules Match for the RAW Women’s Title: Nia Jax w/ Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss w/ Mickie James

We go to the ring and out first comes Nia Jax. RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is out next with Mickie James as Ronda Rousey looks on from the front row.

The bell rings and Bliss stalls some, looking scared. Mickie is trying to hand a kendo stick into the ring but Jax keeps Bliss from her. Bliss angers Jax with a shot to the mouth. Bliss runs out and Jax follows. Bliss grabs the stick and hits Jax with it but Jax grabs it and tears it up. Jax fights off a steel chair shot and another as Mickie keeps handing weapons to Bliss. Jax blocks two trash can shots next. She’s tossed the cans and the chairs into the ring. Bliss tries to run away but Jax grabs her and floors her on the outside. Jax brings it back into the ring and splashes Bliss in the corner.

Jax tosses Bliss onto chairs and into one of the cans. We see Natalya also looking on from ringside, evening the odds with Mickie. Jax keeps control of Bliss and scoops her on her shoulders. Jax presses Bliss high in the air and drops her on the trash can. Rousey laughs and cheers Jax on. Mickie pulls Bliss out of the ring to safety and talks to her. Jax follows and brings Bliss right back into the ring. Jax gets smacked with a trash can lid, bringing her down to her knees. Bliss with more shots with the trash can lid. Bliss smashes a trash can over Jax’s back next. Natalya cheers Jax to get up.

Bliss wedges a steel chair in the corner. Bliss turns around and dropkicks Jax for a 2 count. Jax ends up nailing a big forearm to the face to turn it around. Jax with a headbutt next. Bliss sends Jax shoulder-first into the wedged steel chair in the corner. Bliss just barely got out of the way. Mickie gets on the apron and tries to hand a can lid to Bliss but Natalya runs over and pulls her off. Natalya unloads on Mickie on the floor. Bliss helps make the save and they double team Natalya, taking her out on the floor. Rousey looks on and looks ready to fight. Rousey finally hops the barrier and attacks Mickie, slinging her into the barrier a few times. Rousey pushes Mickie into the ring and scoops her on her shoulders. Rousey drives Mickie into the mat and takes her back outside, throwing her into the German announce table. Rousey has snapped.

Rousey chases Bliss and stops her from escaping over the barrier. Mickie with a kendo stick from behind to Rousey and another. Bliss returns to the ring and goes to the top. Jax catches her in mid-air and picks her up for a Samoan Drop. Mickie runs in and hits Jax with a steel chair to stop the Samoan Drop. Bliss with a chair shot to Jax and another. Bliss drops Jax with a DDT onto the steel chair and covers for the win.

Back from the break and JoJo does the introductions as RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss comes out with Mickie James. Nia Jax and Natalya are out next.

Jax starts off with Bliss and talks some trash. Bliss immediately tags Mickie in before they get physical. They lock up and Nia shoves Mickie to the mat. Nia takes Mickie to the corner and tags in Natalya for the double team. Natalya goes for a Sharpshooter but it’s blocked. Mickie tags in Bliss. Bliss gets floored by Natalya. Bliss avoids a Sharpshooter and crawls out of the ring to regroup with Mickie. Natalya drops them with a baseball slide. Natalya sends Bliss into the barrier and drops Mickie on the floor again. Natalya brings Bliss back in but she rolls right back to the floor for a breather. Nia joins Natalya in the ring and they look on as Mickie joins Bliss on the outside. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Mickie is in control of Natalya. Mickie takes her to the corner for kicks. Bliss tags in and works Natalya over in the corner. Bliss takes Natalya back to the corner and tags in Mickie. Natalya blocks the double team and drops both opponents. Natalya crawls for the tag now and makes it.

Nia gets the hot tag and floors Mickie, then knocks Bliss off the apron. Nia splashes Mickie in the corners and keeps control as fans cheer her on. Mickie fights back with kicks but Nia fights her off and drops her. Nia screams out for a pop. Nia scoops Mickie and presses her high for another pop and drops Mickie. Nia runs and hit a leg drop for the win.

After the bell, Bliss immediately hits the ring and nails Jax with a kendo stick. Bliss with more kendo stick shots as some fans boo her. Nia finally gets up and catches the stick. Nia swings it but Bliss retreats and runs away with Mickie on the ramp. Nia tosses the stick and stares them down from the apron as they run to the back. Nia marches up the ramp while her music plays.

Backstage Segment

Back from the break and we see what just happened with Bliss and Nia. Charly Caruso approaches Nia backstage for comments on Bliss. Nia says this was just a reminder that Bliss will do anything to break her down but it won’t work. Nia says Bliss can’t break her but she can break Bliss. She goes on and says she won’t forget everything Bliss has done, and will make her pay for it all at Extreme Rules. Nia says she will take back her RAW Women’s Title on Sunday.

Nia Jax w/ Natalya vs Mickie James w/ Alexa Bliss

We go to the ring and out comes Mickie Jameswith RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at her side. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes Nia Jax to the stage. Jax takes the mic and says she hoped she was done with Bliss after WrestleMania 34 but she was wrong. Then she squashed her like the insect she is at Backlash and figured Bliss was behind her forever but she was wrong again. One Money In the Bank cash-in later and they’re back where they started but this needs to end. Fans cheer and agree. Jax says at Extreme Rules, with Ronda Rousey sitting at ringside, this will end. Jax says she was with Kurt Angle backstage just now and he confirmed that their match at Extreme Rules will be held under Extreme Rules. As for tonight, Jax says she also has some back-up for this match. The music hits and out comes Natalya. Jax and Natalya head to the ring together as Bliss waits with Mickie.

The bell rings and Mickie comes from behind to attack. Jax fights back and sends Mickie to the mat with a headbutt. Mickie tries coming from behind again as Bliss looks on. Jax rams Mickie back into the corner. Jax with another big power move. Mickie fights back and connects with several kicks. Jax easily turns it back around and Mickie goes to the apron, then to the floor to regroup. Jax follows but Mickie tries running back into the ring. Jax grabs her leg and scoops her onto her shoulders on the floor. Bliss pulls Mickie off Jax’s shoulders. Natalya joins Jax and the two teams face off at ringside as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Mickie has turned it around. Mickie works on the knees of Jax at ringside. Mickie returns to the ring as the referee counts. Jax makes it back in at the 8 count but Mickie goes right to work on her. Jax tries to fight back but Mickie keeps her down and keeps focusing on the knee. Mickie keeps Jax down with a submission now. Jax tries to fight back and applies a leg scissors. Mickie reaches for the bottom rope and breaks the hold.

They get to their feet and Mickie connects first. Jax mounts some momentum now but is moving slow due to the knee. Jax sends Mickie into the corner but runs into a big boot. Mickie goes to the top but Jax goes for a powerbomb. Mickie counters and lands on her feet. Mickie yells at Jax to get up. Jax catches a kick. Mickie with strikes to the head. Jax powers up and nails a sitdown powerbomb but Bliss gets on the apron to distract the referee from making the pin. Natalya takes Bliss down off the apron. Jax ends up taking advantage of the distraction and hitting a Samoan Drop on Mickie for the pin.f

Natalya w/ Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss w/ Mickie James after Mickie tried swipe Natalya’s feet from under her which provided a distraction for Nia to trip Alexa allowing Natalya to apply the Sharpshooter for the win
